Soisci’s movement journey began with martial arts in 2002. She was by no means an athletic person growing up, but big life challenges pushed her to find empowerment through hard physical practices like grappling, gymnastics strength training, weightlifting, Wushu, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai. The sport she spent the most time on was Muay Thai. She trained intensively while completing a BA in anthropology, and ultimately became a world champion upon winning the WPMF world title belt in 2011.
Soisci started learning from Ido Portal and Odelia Goldschmidt in 2012, shortly before ending her Muay Thai career in 2013. They greatly broadened her perspective on movement practice. She spent the next four years travelling the world learning closely from Ido and Odelia, as well as assisting them at international events.
When Soisci turned 30, her life goals and priorities suddenly changed, and she embarked on a journey of investigating practices that instil deeper connections with the self and holistically improving one’s quality of life. She started studying with Jozef Frucek of Fighting Monkey, attending his workshops, undertaking online coaching, and hosting his intensives in Sydney. It was also at this time when Soisci started studying formal meditation and spiritual practices under the guidance of her guru, Rajiv Kapur. She still learns from both Jozef and Rajiv today. In search of a movement community, Soisci brought her wealth of experience to Canberra and joined our teaching team in early 2020.
Soisci teaches movement practice, longevity, strength, mobility and handstand classes.
